Back in November I wrote about the state of the cycle path in Musselburgh and of how it had been left with no lights for the past few years due to it being “not economical” to fix the lights.
At the time of writing that blog post, I also contacted my local mps and msps asking for help in finding a solution to this issue.
Since then I have been contacted by Gavin Brown (Conservative MSP) and Alison Johnstone (Green Party MSP) to say that they would raise the issue and by Fraser McAllister (councillor) who has confirmed that he has requested that the process be expedited.
Unfortunately at this time there has still been no actual work started on the lights but I have chased again with the msps involved to ask for a progress report.
I’ll keep you up to date.
